My SAT score is above the national average, but I don’t believe it is up to par for Skidmore’s averages. I do have an upward trend in my grades, so that is good. How much is the SAT weighted in the admissions process?

Hello,

The SAT is important in our process but the strength of academic program and the four-year GPA are far more important. Students should have strong grades and tough classes (honors and APs) relative to the school’s class offerings. The SAT is considered next and unless the student is wildly below our ranges, they can still generally compete for admission.

Hope that helps!
