1. No, if a student is accepted Early Decision and the Financial Aid package does not meet their need, the student is not bound to attend. That Early Decision contract becomes non-binding.
2. No, Skidmore does not do gapping, we meet full need for those who are admitted.
3. Yes, all enrolled Skidmore students, including ED, can do a gap year. They have to put their request in writing to Dean Mary Lou Bates and explain what the plan is for the year off. Also, they can’t maintain matriculated status at any other school during that year.
