We do not require SAT IIs and if a student does not submit them it will not hurt their chances. We recommend them for placement purposes once students enroll at Skidmore.

Hi there,
The only specific requirements are that students must remain in all the classes they were enrolled in when we admitted them. Any course changes must be run by Admissions and we usually say no. Aside from that, there can be no dramatic drop-off in GPA during senior year. Slight dips aren’t a problem, but big drops can in extreme cases cause us to revoke our offer of admission.

GPA is a hard one to answer because it depends on the types of classes that you have taken and what is offered at your school. Generally students average at around B+/A- but some schools weigh GPAs, some schools don’t even give out grades, so it all depends on the context of your school.

We have not finalized these numbers yet, so I can’t say what the regular decision acceptance rate is, sorry. I can say that in the past, our overall acceptance rate (regular decision and early decision) is typically about 42%.
