Hi there,
Since the deadline to accept is May 1, we don’t have those numbers yet. I can tell you that we hope to have at least 7% of the class be international students this year. The Class of 2015 had about 6%, if that helps. Additionally, there are more than 120 international students on campus from more than 50 different countries, so it’s a good international mix.

Both need-based financial aid packages and merit-based scholarships are available to international students. Both require an application and share the same deadlines as the Common Application.

There are plenty of resources for international students at Skidmore! Here is just a sampling of the support we provide for our international community on campus:
- Academic support from international student advisors in the Office of Student Academic Services (academic support, visa questions, travel plans, and related issues),
- Multi-day International Student Pre-orientation Program in August,
- Annual International Student Dinner in early fall,
- International Student Union (mentoring for new students),
- Student clubs including Asian Cultural Awareness, Raices, Ujima, and more
- Intercultural Center
- Friendship Family Program (connecting international students with local families)
- UWC Scholars Advising
- Davis Projects for Peace
- Career Services

It’s impossible to say how much you would receive because our aid office takes many factors into account when determining financial need and awards. Actual income is only one of several factors. Hello there,
YES. We value the IB (International Baccalaureate) very much and consider it a very rigorous program. We will also award credit based on the final exams. Scores of 5, 6 or 7 on the Higher Level IB exams will give students college credit.
