Halloween has slowly been adopted into the Spanish culture under the name Jalogüín. It still doesn’t quite look like Halloween in the states, but people still dress up! Sadly there is not much trick-o-treating that goes on. In Alcalá, there is a zombie march that happens instead.12189241_1084415341570412_3789652776839618362_oSome choose to dress up as zombies, and they go all out. The rest of the city comes to watch! We walked all the way down the main street (calle Mayor) to the main plaza (Plaza Cervantes). There were a TON of people, and with some pretty crazy makeup, and there were bands playing on the sides!IMG_5396_2 12191803_10153009872425666_6885901553827854988_nOur zombie costumes did not measure up. Fun night!
