I think a few trash cans in the more popular areas (e.g. the chapel trail) of the woods would be a good idea. It ruins the woods when there are bottles and papers all over the trail, at least with a few trash cans people would (I’d hope) throw their trash in the trash can rather than all over the trail.

Clear trail distances for people using NW for recretion. Instead of having a scale for distance, have information about the distance for each of the paths would be great!

As a resident in town and a somewhat frequent visitor to the trails, I’d like to say thank you for doing the work that do. It’s a great place to get out and stretch my legs…and it’s close to home. There is an issue that I’ve noticed though…people bring their dogs and turn them loose with no leash. I ask them about this and most seem unconcerned. I was there today and within 5 minutes, 4 dogs had arrived and were promptly set free to run. I said something to the owners with various careless replies. Is there something that can be done to address this? Thank you in advance.

I’ve been a long term renter late spring through the end of Summer and would like to thank you for the hours upon hours of pleasure I’ve had in the Northwoods walking my dog or running on the trails. I plan on directing my annual Skidmore contribution towards the upkeep and maintenance of this wonderful treasure.

Yesterday, whilst walking my dog on his leash……….we encountered 2 humans, and 6 dogs, each of them off the leash rampaging through the forest. Sad to say this is normal occurrence. Not sure what can be done if anything. I would be willing to do some volunteer work / effort to curtail the activity……..
