International Education Week is coming up soon, from November 13th to 17th. IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The OCSE office will be celebrating IEW, and we hope that you will join us! There will be events that you can take part in all week:
On Monday, November 13th: We are kicking off IEW at 6:15pm in Gannett with a talk from Tayo Rockson:
We live in a world of rapid change and that’s due to globalization, mobility, migration, technology and media. What this creates is an environment with potential for conflict, confrontation, and misunderstandings. It also impacts policy decisions made by schools, workplaces, and governments. Tayo’s talk will focus on ways to mainstream diversity and inclusion in schools, workplaces, strategies for effectively communicating across differences, developing capabilitiy, leadership and fostering inclusion. There will be a reception in the lobby of Gannett directly following the event.
Tuesday, November 14th: There will be an International Program Panel
Wednesday, November 15th: 11am to 2pm there will be a mini study abroad fair on the 2nd floor of Case
Thursday, November 16th: There will be an international themed dinner in the Dining Hall, followed by a trivia night sponsored by PHE in Spa.
Friday, November 17th: From 12pm – 3pm there will be an open photo shoot in Dhall Atrium for the “I am Global Skidmore” photo series
