One of my favorite things about living in London is the availability to go and see a wide variety of shows. The theater class I’m taking here goes to see a show about once every week and I have gone to see a few shows either by myself or with a few friends. The venues range from huge subsidized national theaters to small pubs (to be honest some of the best work I’ve seen here has been in the pubs). I get the feeling that theater is viewed as more important culturally here then it is in America. Many of the theaters get government funding, so tickets range anywhere from five pounds there to 80 pounds at a private theater.
