If you are a Skidmore student interested in gaining social psychological research experience, consider joining the SCID Lab! There are a variety of ways to become involved. We accept Research Assistants through the PS 275 course (Exploratory Research Experience in Psychology), which is a 1 credit, 3 hour/week commitment. Opportunities for more intensive involvement in research (such as PS 373 Research Independent Study in Psychology, or a 2-semester Senior Honors Thesis) are available. Please consult with Dr. Moss-Racusin early and often if you are interested in a more advanced research role.
Our lab typically has anywhere from 6-15 research assistants in any given semester, and we hold lab meetings on Friday afternoons. If you are interested in joining, please submit this application by emailing it directly to Dr. Moss-Racusin. Remember that spots fill up very quickly, and we often have a wait list. The best time to apply is at the beginning of the semester BEFORE you would like to join (e.g., February for a Fall position, October for a Spring position).
