Dr. Moss-Racusin is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Skidmore College. She received her B.A. from New York University, where she studied Psychology, Creative Writing, and French and completed a senior honors thesis with Dr. Madeline Heilman. She then worked as a research assistant at the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity with Dr. Kelly Brownell. She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology in March 2011 from Rutgers University, working primarily with Dr. Laurie Rudman and also Dr. Diana Sanchez. She then completed a Postdoctoral Associate position at Yale University, working with Dr. John Dovidio in the Yale Intergroup Relationships Lab, and Dr. Jo Handelsman in the Center for Scientific Teaching.
In her spare time, Dr. Moss-Racusin enjoys spending time with her family (husband Ranjit, daughter Alia, and son Leo), listening to music, playing the drums, starting many novels (and finishing almost as many), weightlifting, competitive gaming, and The Food Network.
