Hello world! Come curl up with a nice cup of Earl Gray and find out all about my travels in London this fall. A little info on me—I’m a junior at Skidmore College with a major in English and a double minor in Art History and Film & Media Studies. So basically, I’m a nerd with a passion for anything with a good story. I love to eat, talk, and dream about food. You will most likely see lots of pictures of the things I eat. Other things I adore include Victorian culture and cats. I booked my visit to Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium way back in May. I will be attending the British American Drama Academy in London for Fall 2014 via the Skidmore Shakespeare Programme, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Why London? In Fall of 2012 I spent my fall semester there as part of my Skidmore First Year Experience and fell in love. When I found out that there was such as thing as a Shakespeare Programme the nerd in me exploded and just had to apply. I am so thrilled to finally be able to experience Shakespearian and British literature in a way that goes beyond the typical classroom experience and I also can’t wait to see more theater in London and get my creative side running with a directing and playwriting class. I may or may not attempt to track down Benedict Cumberbatch while I’m there (last time my friends met Tom Hiddelston!) So follow me on a journey through this incredible city! It’s going to be a blast!
